Just wanted to give everyone a heads up…the 2011 Georgia’s Own Scholarship winners will be announced on Thursday, July 28th 2011. This year we had around 170 applications and they all looked really awesome! It’s going to be a tough decision for our Scholarship Committee. Good luck to everyone that sent in an application and be sure to check back here to find out the winners! Adios!
Starting in January 2011, instead of receiving the i[x]ga Magazine, you will receive Ne[x]t Magazine. It will have some of the same information as previous magazines, but Ne[x]t will be more of a mission and service based magazine. It will feature some things such as: how hard working hard pays off, why you should serve, ways to serve, and stories of success. Jason DeRulo will be on the cover of the new magazine, as I got a chance to sit down and talk with him about his recent tour. If you’re not currently an i[x] member at Georgia’s Own Credit Union, you can pick up a copy at any one of our 24 branch locations.
Also, as you all know, last month we wanted to say “Thanks” to you guys for being a part of i[x]. We gave away a $50 gift card to Matt Jones on Facebook. Well, we had such a fun time interacting and talking with you all, that we want to continue giving back. This month we have $45 in iTunes gift cards up for grabs for one lucky winner. Same rules as last month: for every “Like”, comment or interaction during the month of December, your name will be entered into a random drawing. So let us know what’s on your mind at facebook.com/ixgeorgia.
If you aren’t a subscriber to the our monthly e-newsletter, you are on my bad side….j/k, but seriously. Well in the November e-newsletter we told you about how you could win a cool $50 – and I know you could use $50 since Christmas is around the corner and you need to buy your boyfriend/girlfriend that special gift (or maybe you just give them the $50). It is so easy to be entered into the drawing…all you need to do is interact with us on Facebook during the month of November. Every time you “Like” us, comment, share your thoughts or any other interaction, you will be entered. The more you interact, the more chances you have to win! See ya on the ‘book.
